I have just renewed my springs on my disco 1 300 model with standard ones and the drive hight seems very high compared to the old ones will this settle down to the right hight

Maybe the old ones were nackered?

But yes, they'll settle a little, though shouldn't be more than say 1/2" after a year.

Mind, a lot depends on the make of springs that were on and the make put on ... if neither are OEM then all bets are off ...
