+1, take the feed direct from the battery or alternator.Not up on these things but I can't see a need to run anything to/from the BeCM....
Route it along the chassis rail in plastic tube, dead easy and there is a rubber bung in the rear quarter to come up into the car. Use at least 4mm cable fused at the main battery.Yeah i Have the kit, its just when i searched the best way to get through the huge firewall, someone said i don't have to and i can use the supply to the becm but you guys have confirmed my fears... ol leave it well alone and try and route through the bulk head.

I want to fit a second battery in the boot for a work light etc. I read on an old thread that someone ran a power feed from the becm, but here's scare me and i don't want to fry it or something horrific like that! Is it safe or not?
