Me speedo's not working!!!!

So I've tried a drill on the end of the cable (750rpm is 22 mph if your interested...)

Therefore I know guage is working ok, but when bolted into G'box nothing!

Any ideas?

end of speedo gear split or end of cable worn ,maybe if drive flange loose speedo worm not driven by shaft

Worth replacing the cable - ends might be worn. Make sure the head end is clipped in properly. Could be the gearbox worm drive, but I'd expect it to have gone a bit intermittent before it failed.

If you've got 3.54 diffs it'll be miles out anyway(mine reads 50mph when it's actualy doing 80mph!)
I've got a gps speedo app for the iPhone and use that instead.

Yeah right - MOT job - just getting that tick in the box!

Mine would you don't think that will wash in a court of law...
