Well finally got round to doing my front bearing's and while i had the old gurl up off the ground decided to check my bush condition(i have a full bush kit to fit yet)..

but while i was under there i found this(see enclosed pic)..

thats some rust monster..

right my question is can i cut and weld in some new mount's or can i by new mount's premade and weld that in??

or am i looking at a full front axel due to this small crack

i say small crack the full front mount is away from the axel and the radius arm is held in place only by the rear bolt mount which looks a little worse for were due to carrying the full load alone also..

this is a new one to me so not fully sure were to go from here at mo.

have a word with tinny, he just done some repairs to his rear axle but that were on a defender
 
what's up with me pic ya cnut ;)

grands worth of camara me on me back to take shot in dark condition's and yer can still clearly see the cracked mount yer daft lad..

an if any mooderator's will can ya change the title to suit yella's edit i dun ta ;)

now me voice's are really starting to annoy me...were's me tin foil hat :D

Now what you on about I never mentioned your picture. :D Yer must be imagining things:rolleyes:
 
Paddocks do the repair brackets fer the rear axle, dunno bout the front one.
might be worth a phone call.

that look's just the job trewey mate..hope they do the front mount's also :D

now i have a rather strong urge to go out and clean all the bracket's of underseal and make sure i dunt need more than just the one :eek:

Don't listen tae them voices mate:eek: If ye get yer brackety thingies sorted, some o' that waxoyl stuff widnae go a miss:D
 
don't worry buster i gave my voice's a good talking to after seeing what they made me write :S ...

as for the bracket i have foned a few place's today and none have the front bracket but all do the rear one's ..

been told i have to replace or recase the whole axle or find one someone dosent mind me cutting the bracket off..

its all good fun :)
 
cheer's trewey mate..

i have added it too watch with another in bradford thats 20 quid but still got steering balls hubs and breaks attached..

hopefully will get one or the other at auction's end :)
