The southdown kit will link directly to your airbox creating a better seal. from steel pipe to flexi which goes straight into the airbox. Southdown make superb kit and if your fitting a roll cage at a later date. The Safari will not work.
The safari on a disco makes a good seal, granted. much better than that designed for a defender. But my money would be on the Southdown.

ive looked in to it and for a safari paddock is the cheapist at £169 all in
got a list of prices from 15 companys!
but i dont like paddock they r feckers
look at the standard ''raised air intakes'' they are effectivly the same as a safari but alot cheaper
Raised Air Intakes / Safari Snorkels for Land Rovers
A Land Roving friend who has just disapeared to Falkland Islands told me he fitted a DIY snorkel to his 300Tdi diesal using pipes and tubes bought from a DIY shop. Can anybody post a step by step instruction plan for this as there must be people on here who have done this too?
