I have a 200tdi discovery.

Want to buy a snorkel for deep water wading but i also drive a lot of very overgrown lanes where clearance is an issue with trees etc. IE, no wing mirrors and heavily dented roof. On my old fourtrack I kept bereaking off the homemade snorkel as it got stuck on trees etc. Can anyone recomend a decent snorkel for the disco that is both strong and located out of the way with no parts that can get cought up ? I was toying with the idea of making one again, but this time out of metal drain pipe. Bad idea ?

sounds like a good idea to me, I used black plastic drainpipe and so far has taken the grief.
