right then lads took the starter moter off today due to it being a bit lazy and its stoping me using the landy so i am going to try and refurb it .so can you buy the bruches for them and is it an easy fix or take it in and get it looked at

what engine is it for if its a diesel 2.25 engine with a massive starter motor itll just probably need the windings re wrapping with cotton ribbon and the same goes for the brush wires aswell as they can burn and short out on the stator plate

this is all i did with mine and it worked a treat

ps super glue is a really big help with the cloth wrapping

ok thanks for that will have a go myself where do i get the brushes from and the cotton ribbon its a 2.25 diesel just getting so sick of it not starting but when it does it runs a treat .going to take the injectors to get refurbed as well as i have done the glow plugs with the new type .so thanks again
