i have a series 3 and i want to know what parts or accessories for the defender such as bullbars rims fender flares etc will fit, as i live in rather harsh enviroment and have had more than a few times when ive had to walk because it cant go any further.

Yaaaaaaaarp

Rims might need an adaptor depending

Bullbar, just weld it on if the bolt holes dont line up

Flares are simple, I'm going to be putting some on mine once I finish the main parts they just rivet on, might need trimming for a series though

Anything will fit if you make it

awesome thanks, i wasnt to sure if they were the same width etc, i knew the defender was basicly just a series just abit longer etc, but i wasnt sure about width and what not.

any steels will fit, front bumper/bulls etc are a straight swop though slightly wider but not so much as to be unsightly

I’ve got a Series 3 as well and ran into the same questions when looking for upgrades. A lot of Defender stuff can fit with a bit of tweaking, as folks already mentioned.


I found this site that’s been pretty useful when figuring out compatibility and sourcing proper land rover parts — might be worth a look if you’re doing more mods.


Saved me a few headaches (and a few long walks ).

Haha fair shout

I was deep in a Google rabbit hole and suddenly found a bunch of people asking the exact same thing I was struggling with, got excited, started typing… didn’t even notice I’d time-travelled back to 2011

Still, glad to see some things never change with Land Rovers!
