I've got small item cargo net (similar to those found on Flatdog) and was wondering if self tappers will be sufficient to fasten it to the inside of the back door which has checker plate on? Or will I need to take the whole thing off and then nuts and bolts?
Intent is for it to hold dog leads and other dog admin. Any thoughts appreciated.

Thanks for the quick response - was a bit concerned rivets may split the plastic surround when they pulll up?

i used rivets , works nicely .
