Hi all,

I know good campsites are often closely guarded secrets (like good wild camping spots, and greenlanes). However I'm off to North Wales in a few days, and my usual campsite (Shell Island), isn't open until mid March which leaves me high and dry. I normally stay in cheap B&Bs or Caravans if I go with the Mrs but I'll be by myself and using my 110 as a camper. All I'm after is a campsite which is open all year, and nice and secluded. (Ie. Nowhere near a main road, and definitely not pristine, mowed grass, camping on top of eachother etc.)

I've looked at Cae Du which isn't far from Shell Island, but unfortunately that isn't open until March either :(

Don't you fancy going wild and parking up in the middle of no where with just the stars and trolls for company

Head up the side of the Victoria inn in Llanbedr ....there are a couple of nice quiet spots down by the river to wild camp (You'll get no bother this time of year IF you keep the area clean and tidy )
OR carry on up to the top of the road to Cwm Bychan .....nice flat field with a honesty box over looking the lake .(No facilities though )

OR the Forestry commision site at Beth Gelert ....Not cheap BUT a very nice spot if you like walking etc
