can someone help i've built a 90 from scratch using recon/new parts. thing is now it has no id its been a two year project on and off and cost me over 5 grand in all. thinkin of breakin it up an to sell off to get somethin back what do you think? help
 
You won't get any where near £5k for the parts. Registering a vehicle is not a problem and doesn't cost much at all. you would be better registering it and selling it as a complete vehicle.
 
not that anyone should do this, but I've heard of people buying truly scrap vehicles for the ID and then putting that on the rebuild but it's, whats the word again?

Where did you get the chassis? Can't you get the ID off that? Someone wouldn't have got rid of a good chassis and kept the id?

Failing being dodgy or having an ID off your chassis, then it's easy to get it registered as a q-plate.
 
Aye an I've heard of dodgy peeps putting the id from a scrapper on a stolen landy or breaking stolen landies and saying they ain't got The V5 so they can't register it. So they have to scrap it.
 
aye, ive heard of folks buying scrap landies and putting a different id on em, speshly if they get hold of a tax exempt id
 
If it cost 5k to build why scrap it now? surly another hundred or two wouldnt make any difference, There are far too many dodgy defenders on the road already and its my guess the fuzz will one day target landys as they are a piece of **** to ring! Apparently.
 
ffs, just register it on a Q, stick a non ageing plate on it and spend some time putting together a good ebay spiel, if it's that good you'll get the money back!
 
Yeah, maybe testin the waters to see if there's some mug he can palm his cut n shut off on???

Seems to me it's about time to track down Mr Alkabone, and have a closer look at this Landy he's gotten ...
