K, i have some steel rims, and there valved, but i wanna pull the valves out and put tubed tyres on them. Can i do it? cos i'm certain i cant put valve type tyres on tube rims

NO IT INT!

AND WHY DO YOU HAVE THIS FETISH ABOUT ME? - I IS HAPPILY (well sorta) MARRIED!

oh - an yes yu can;).

Why the tubes FFS, yer Daft feker.

Fetish, abart you? Does this tie in wiv rimming and tubes then?

I am sprised at yu, Grippa - everyone knows the reason fur fitting tubes is coz it is sposed to stop the tyrewall coming off the rim under heavy side loads, particularly at low pressure!

rememba my "puncture"? Thas wot happened there.

and i knew you'd come up and say summit Daft, next time i'll just "stoopid" instead :D

tah by the way, yay i didnt waste a tenner buying these rims.

Oh ok, er, but why? S'not as good, for quite a few reasons.

FEKIN NORA, they int cheap are they?

ah fink yer need sum kind er grommit too, cos tubeless valves is biggerer than tube valves.
yer tyre place should ave em in stock.

yu can get two dif size valves in tubes - I know coz I still gorra 7:30*16 tube from my series - burrit wont fit Disco rims - it will only fit "older" Series rims - coz they gorra bigger valve hole!

Tubeless tyres are meant to be safer - because they are sposed to deflate in a more "controlled" manner - tubed tyres are more likely to go "BANG!" and deflate suddenly - catastrophic on a motorway at 70.

cud have been fur ya 300TDi.

and many a Series reaches 70 - either with a V8 in em - or a tow truck underneath;)!

hehe,. nah its for the series3 when i gets to go back on the road (cant afford tax so it's been put away for 2 months). The disco is getting some insa turbo rangers for its MOT in august :D

you know, after all that, there basically the same as what i've got, with just a more roady middle tread pattern with lugs on the side....... dont look like that on the pics, found them on ebay..... back to the drawing board!

so i've heard ;), lookin for an AT though for more grip in rain. And the insa turbo rangers seem good, gonna get some 235/70's for disco and 235/80's for series when we can afford it

atleast now i dont need to sacrifice some valves now

im getting 235/70/16s for my disco too. think its a comfortable fit for a standard height disco. i didnt want to get any bigger coz i thought i mite be pushing my luck lol
