Hi all i am doing a complete renew front and back of the dampers and coil springs on my td5 defender 90 2004

I have everything i need to do the job tomorrow but i was wondering does anyone have any torque settings

for the upper and lower bolts on the shocks front and rear

torque settings for turret rings

torque settings for spring retainers and lower seats

Would nice to do the job as precise as can be achieved rather than just tight. but if all else fails tight will have to do haha

Tight is good enough, not to tight on the turret ring nuts as they can shear clean off, basically spanner tight is good enough.
Lets be honest its not like any of this stuff is going to come undone on its own is it?

Did my suspension around a year ago and just tightened up by feel. it's been fine for 12 months and nothing's come off. Some stuff would be difficult to get a torque wrench on properly, such as the bolts for the lower spring pans. I wouldn't worry about it. Torque wrenches are for things like pulley and drive flange bolts, cylinder head bolts and suchlike in my view.
