After doing everything else to my Landy and whilst going to the mot station for the fourth time my indicators decided to stop working once I had got there.
I then began to investigate and after removing the dash discovered lots of cables that had melted, 50 amp fuses from the 70's and cables with no covering connected and spliced to everything as well as relay connectors shorted with paper clips.
How this thing hasn't caught fire in its life I don't know and how anyone thought there work was decent I will never know. So at this point I bring myself to doing a full re wire and sorting it out.
My question has anyone done a re-wire and updated fuse boxes holders etc
I am looking at replacing the fuse relay with this item
Modular Fuse and Relay System: Polevolt Ltd
Or this one
Fuse and Relay box assembly information
If anyone can shed light on their work experiences. My plans are to be able to use newer mini blade fuses and mini relays etc and install the raptor dash at the same time. I will also be able to have a separate section for the efi bits and bobs!
