Having failed the CVRT test here in Ireland because the brake lines are corroded I was wondering where I could get some replacements? Is there complete kits sold anywhere? I was also thinking about getting some braided lines added as well or is there any point in them? I have a 2010 Defender 90 with no mods done.

Corroded after only 6 years thats a worry! From what I found when I had a quick search the other day is you have to buy a kit and make new lines yourself.
Braided lines reduce sponginess under hard braking and are tougher than standard ones, only real difference I believe.

That is not a good life-span but what is the rest of the underside like? Is it subjected to a lot of salt and is rarely washed off (in which case I would suggest that the chassis will also be showing signs of corrosion) or is it well looked after and it is just the pipes that have gone?
For ease of use the kits are the best way to go but if you feel that you might like to do it DIY and possibly re-use the tools again then you could make them yourself.
As for SS braided hoses I thoroughly recommend them. I have been using them for 35-years (both bikes & LR's) and would not use anything else. My 90 is currently wearing some BP items that I fitted a couple of years ago, no issues whatsoever.

The underside is not too bad actually just some light surface rust here and there nothing too heavy. Will look into the kits a bit more as I couldn't see the one for my car on the link above. I had some braided hoses on previous cars and they did make a difference so will probably put them on as well.
Automec don't do kits for my model just yet. In fairness to them they did offer to make one up if I supplied measurements for the entire system but I don't have the means or a way to do this at the moment. Leaving it into a local garage to see what they can do. Hopefully it wont be too expensive.
