Hi all,

Apologies if this has been asked before, but I can't find anything.

I have a 3.9V8 D1 with cats.

One is rattly, but passes the MOT.

Will this non-cat pipe fit straight in its place:

ESR225 - Front Pipe Assembley Discovery V8 EFI Non Cat

If so, I don't have to spend mega bucks on a new cat downpipe and can swap it in for the MOT.

I believe I would have to change the tune resistor too?

Tune resistor I believe so. RRC downpipe differs thats all I know. Id suggest you call up a supplier like britpart to get advice on what will fit before ordering.

That looks like a 3.5 RRc and disco up to vin LA JA0030871 so again a 3.5 down pipe the disco 3.9 pipe a lot different, try ESR 3730 that's off to top of my head so may be wrong.

I don't know what 3730 is for, but it's the most expensive piece of exhaust I've ever seen!

Oh dear, I've given u the part number for a genuine LR part fitted with the cats, as u can see in your link.
Now IIRC there isn't a down pipe without the cats for the 3.9 UK market from Land Rover, so forget your LR part numbers and see if there an after market one u can fit.
