Hello again,

Before I jump in ham fisted with a handfull of spanners and a hammer, can I ask if anyone has removed their near side 3rd row jump seat from a Series 2 Discovery at all?

I belive all the air stuff is behind the plastic so the seat in mine sticks into the cargo bay too much for my liking. So its coming out!

I will leave the O/S seat in place as it may come in handy one day and is tucked into the side where it should be.

Are there any pit falls to look out for or is it just a case of removing the plastic and locating screws and bolts?

I must look out for a Haynes book!

4 bolts and skinned knuckles the last time I did it, probably because I didn't use a locally produced retainer bracket, they show the offside seat but its the same for the nearside minus the drinks tray

Where did those scans come from by the way? I dont suppose there is such a manual available for download is there?

What happens to the spring if you dont use the retainer bracket by the way?

Also if I make one of the brackets, what material should it be in to secure the spring?

The pages were taken from the RAVE software, plenty links on here

The springs just move a little making it a bit more difficult to turn the bolts without the bracket.

I wood presume (get it) the bracket could be made from would
