Im not having much luck with the correct search terms : (

Wondering if anyone has any tips for removing the box (engine is still present) from a disco.
Its a breaker, so if cutting holes etc. will make things easier, that's fine.

Cut the body off, real easy then........

You will be surprised how easy it is, think 10 bolts does the job.

Im not going to be able to lift the body. I know the box is heavy, but that's more doable than the whole body (ie without lifting kit)

you can get at top bell housing bolts easier by removing cross member and allowing box to drop by the rear, a jack under box or engine crane through the tunnel opening for support

Or take a hammer to the dash and heater area and when it's destroyed you can cut a hole in the firewall and get to it that way
