Tried the search thing but nothing specific came up, recently whilst my Hippo was in my local LR dealership having a new key coded to the car they said that my old remote fob was kaput and that they'd been unsuccessful in linking a new one due to something in the system not working and stopping the process, they said they could investigate but their labour costs were over 100 quid an hour and they'd have to start taking things apart to check what was wrong, does anyone know what parts can affect this and that are serviceable?
I know of course about the receiver on top of the speedo unit but what else could it be?, any help appreciated.

If a LR Main Dealer doesn't know and will have to investergate etc etc who will, but fobs can be refurbished by Remote Key (look at their site) and who will replace the crystal as part of the service, they can loose their tuning and make communication difficult.

Hi mate, thanks for the reply but LR tried a brand new fob but it wouldn't link to the system they said something else was preventing it from programming.
