Ok then,

Adjusted the steering box and it still crap and never centers etc, etc we think the worm gears worn too much.

Bitting the bullet and going to get a recon 4 bolt steering box.

Any recomendations of where to get one from as I have heard NPS are not good, I dont know were the ones from Paddocks are got etc.

Any advice out there of people who have done the job please.

lack of self centering is usually to tight adjustment on box or poor uj in steering shaft,box must only be adjusted when box in central position or it will be worse

I got mine from MM4x4 recondition with part exchange, no problems since july

A mate of mine got one from paddocks, same deal but with a new drop arm on has he couldn't be fecked to change the drop arm ball joint, his seems to be holding up well too.

I think MM were a tad cheaper for a box, he paid extra for the drop arm too.

Paddock or any other part supplier will not recon a box in house, they will be sub'd to an engineering company, 9/10 they come with a 12 month warranty anyway.

I paid about £215 for mine with a drop arm attached
