Just reinstalled EAS block and fitted Kurt's new compressor having changed all o-rings. What's the best procedure for recommissioning please? Think I read best to let engine run for 20mins, but WITH a door OPEN. Is that correct please and, if so, why with door open? Many thanks in anticipation of wise words (as opposed to wise cracks)...haha!

When you open the tailgate or a door the suspension "freezes" in that no air will be let in or out of the bags but if low on pressure it will pump to fill the tank. So, if tank fills and pump stops then presumably no issue storage side. Then shut doors and see what rises.

Thought it may be something along those lines. Thanks for the prompt response, Datatek.

Pump still running after almost 30mins. Have checked with soapy water which showed small leak from one air dryer collets, but fixed that by pushing air line fully home. System went down fairly quickly a while back, but bags hold air on individual valves, even after a couple of weeks. Looks like a leak somewhere in line to/from air reservoir... Any other possibilities anyone? Cheers.

Don’t let the pump run that long.....somethings not right.
Is it the line across the axle/ crossmember that goes to the tank close to exhaust????

I don't have access to a ramp to check that out, but had new Stainless exhaust fitted about 18months ago. I've been running on individual valves since then. I'll put them back on and get car booked into local garage that I trust to check the airlines out. Cheers.

Out of interest, roughly how long should a pump take to fill the tank, assuming no leaks and the tank is at ambient pressure?

When compressor is run with door open it should fill air tank in five to six minutes from empty. When door is shut and car rises compressor will run for a further few minutes to top up tank then stop. Compressor should never run for thirty minutes. Either the diaphragm valve is leaking or you have a serious leak in the fill pipe to tank.

Cheers, Wammers! I'll get it checked out. Back on Schraeder valves in meantime. I replaced the diaphragm valve which was part of the valve block kit.

Sure you fitted it the right way round? Any air coming out of the exhaust on the valve block?

+1, especially if you have had an exhaust leak. Airline goes down passenger side, crosses over to driver's side near rear axle and then goes into the airtank. The tank itself has been known to leak but usually line is holed by an exhaust blow.

The one in the kit had a shiny metal centre which, installed, was uppermost. It wasn't as tight an interference fit as the original though after I cleaned the white "gunge" from under the original one.

The original centre box was COMPLETELY rotted away. Think I'll have a new air line installed to the tank. Is the "other" air line a return from the tank?

There is only one airline to the tank.
Ah... OK. 04--off lines to four corners; 02-off to/from air dryer, then 02-off "others" smaller than t'others if I recall correctly. One goes to tank, so where does the last one go to?
