I've tried searching ebay and stuff but nothing is showing up but can you buy rear wheel arch panels like you can for a disco 1 or are they the same for disco 1 and 2
The arch is rusting through where the door shuts over it

I'm watching this with interest as mine is going in the same place, but on the offside and not quite as bad yet. Is this an MOT failure due to being close to the rear lock?

Both son and i can't weld but we are thinking of getting a cheap mig welder as son wants to learn to weld but also has a mate who has his own garage who he could ask to do as well.A picture speaks a thousand words
If you can weld, that can be fixed. I would cut the worst of it out and weld in new steel. Use a separate piece for each face. You could leave it slightly below flush and put filler over it to leave it tidy. Alternative is find a scrap D2 and cut that piece out and weld that in.
