Hello.
I've got an issue with my rear indicators. I've now on my fourth bulb holder - the connectors keep corroding, I can't seem to stop it. Both indicators.
I don't do a huge amount of off-road - they're not covered in muck all the time.
I've squirted WD40 inside... but the one you can see in the picture is less than three months old.
Previous one have corroded so that there's no connectors for the bulb.
Why are they corroding so quickly? Any thoughts? Any of you had the same thing?
When you pull your bulb holder out of the body work, is yours as covered in dirt as mine?
Any suggestions appreciated - the cost of these is starting to add up.
Thanks.

your piccies didn't work

Griff, thanks for reply. I've no idea. What'd they look like?
I've just done a quick Google and can't find anything.

inside your wheelarches. I have some thick rubber/plastic panels tight over the rear of the lights and wireing, this obviously helps keep the grit and **** out of the sockets.

Wynns viscotene bloody brilliant at stopping electrics corroding.
Used to use in on recovery truck electrics.

GRIFF - i"ve just had a look in daylight. Yes, I do have a piece of plastic covering most of the area between wheel arch and light. Mine finish about 3 inches above the rear outrigger - I think the dirt, water and **** is getting up that gap - which is why it's screwing up my indicators, but not my brake lights.

LYNALL - Will have a look at Wynn's stuff, thanks. Might give it a go. Am a bit worried I'm continually fixing the symptoms rather than the cause though...

WILTSHIRE - Yes! Emphasis is on 'small'. They cost about £5 on ebay after P&P... but I'm getting f'd off having spent £20 on something that should last more than three months. I'm now going to have to fork out for another one too. It's ****ing annoying and I don't know what to do.

Am I the only one suffering with this?
