my mate has a 5 door 04 freelander when he tries to open the rear door the rear glass does not drop and the door will not open then glass does drop with the dash switch then the door will open any idea's ?

There are 2 small springs in the handle....They can easily rust and snap....will normally work with just 1 spring, but may need removing and cleaning.... Remove door card (about 6 screws) Remove handle (3-4 small nuts, you will need to raise/lower window to get them all) remove handle from car and remove 2 small screws...Clean and squirt with WD and should work fine (mine did) If both springs gone you will probably have to find some but I got no sense from numpty at main stealers.

thanks for the info we will have a look soon but its stopped doing in now so i think we will leave well alone
