Stupid question: how to get it off?

I haven't actually had a proper look, but just wondered if it was easy as it seems...

I think someone's shifted it down in the past to improve rear visibility so it now looks like this:

Just take of the inner door cover and get stuck into it, got mine off in 10 mins, then covered it with chequer plate to hide the holes.
