Worth popping over to the Freelander section for a better answer. This is mainly for Hello.
Do you mean the tailgate door. Or passenger rear doors. Tailgate have the rear window drop an inch to allow to open. Or the actuator has failed. Rear door failure are normally the CCU motor.
