hi ,had trouble with brake caliper on the rear drivers side it got really hot the smell is really strong i stripped it down and freed it for a while but now it needs a new caliper i guess which is no problem .but could the bearing get that hot?thanks arv

Doubt it.

My mums a4 v6 had a siezed caliper and you could light a fag of the discs after 12miles........was glowing in the dark
