So driving to work this morning with the window down I could here a terrible squeaking type noise on the range. I have narrowed it down to the o/s/r air spring, it only does it at normal ride height not when low or off road heights. I jacked the car up and sprayed the bag with penertrating fluid and it has improved it but not cured it. Any ideas on this? It kinda sounds like its coming from inside the bag. It dosent appear to be loose or anything.

the shock is part of the actual air bag i think??? or at least thats the case on the front suspension struts. i might be wrong....

is it possible to take them apart and get to this shock inside? It seems a waste to have to replace it due to a squeak that sounds like it just needs a bit of lubrication?
I have had a look for a 'how to' or guide on removing the spring but cant find one anywhere! Can anyone point me in the direction of one please?

If the shock is sqeeking it's finished and needs replacing. Spraying a rubber airspring with any oil based substance is not a good idea.

Shocks are seperate on the rears....
