RAVE states, in a big bold note, that "Cylinder heads may not be refaced".

Does anyone know the veracity of this statement ? Is this just a commercial plot to force us in buying new heads or is there a technical reason behind this ?

Yep, did you ring a Reconditioner, after all they are the experts , could have a defective block face ever Considered that it only takes one slip with the head to scour block face

The heads crack, so removing material may weaken them leading to premature failure.
