Hello,
On the lookout for assistance please.
Range Rover recently had head gasket replaced, water pump etc . All working ok

Just having issues with heating!
# Air build up in expansion tank
# Temp gauge ok , engine not overheating
# very average cool to slight warm air coming into cabin when heater turned on to full hot

We are scratching our heads with this one 😂

Appreciate any suggestions...

Thank you

Others will know better than I, but an airlock is a possibility as is a faulty heater control valve.

I'd go for an air lock aswell🤔
How was the system bled?
There are way to many things on a lot of engines with their own coolant pipes and air locks are a nightmare sometimes to get rid of 🤬
Thank you
Just bled the system standard way.
Filled with coolant & ran engine to temp with expansion cap off . Next day same again and top up etc .
At the moment, once you unscrew bleed screw on expansion, hiss of air for 25 seconds or so releases

It's like there is a vacuum of air drawing into system while driving.

No hot air coming through vents which suggests poor circulation of coolant. I think 🤔

No vacuum as such could be possible matey, the only ways air gets in is if it's introduced by draining a system.
A leak or headgasket failure which pumps hot air into the system which your temp gauge would indicate 👍

Thank you. It's a strange one ok. Just had head gasket replaced recently. Jeep owner carried out a test on it since and all was ok.
We will keep looking 👍

"hiss of air for 25 seconds or so releases", if that is air coming out, it's a sure sign of an airlock n the system.
