I'm looking to replace the speakers in the front of my classic and was wondering if anyone knows what size they are.

Sorry car isn't with me at the moment and so I can't just go out and measure and I'd like to buy some off t'interweb before I go and collect it.

Many thanks

Oh and if anyone has any wise words about fitting a subwoofer and what wiring is needed I'd be very grateful.

I've just replaced the speakers at the bottom of the doors in my 94 LSE and they are 130mm

Hope this helps

I think they're 5 1/4".

I got some ok ones from Halfrauds for around £45.

As for a sub, I'm running an Alpine 12" in a ported box, amp mounted where the jack and wheelbrace go (behind the 'curtain' type thing) and a Nakamichi CD500 head unit. Sounds bloody lovely.

Thanks for the info, I'm planning on doing some work on it this weekend.

I bought an original Range Rover subwoofer out of a later model which came with a small amp and part of the original wiring loom but I havn't got a clue what all the wires are for, think I might just run a power cable and set of RCA cables down to the boot and ignore all the other wires.
