Looking through my cars history and finding that the radiator has been changed every three years or so.. Only to find the intercooler is the culprit. It has been rubbing on the main rad and splitting the vains... Stupid mounting system has been allowing it to swing on the rubber mounts midway up and burst the rad every time. The last owner not being mechanically minded has just paid out continuously for a new rad. Anyone else found this?

No. My intercooler is absolutely solid with no movement. Is yours not bolted?

I have an after market intercooler mounted below the oil cooler and found I had the same problem so I got a couple of 1inch aluminum strips and used silicon to stick them to the rad and then stuck some thin rubber to them it seem to work ok

I dont know I its an original intercooler or aftermarket, the original owner had it tuned. It is bolted but only at the top of the intercooler??
