hello all
today i changed the glow plugs on my 90 200 tdi .
after replacing the first one i removed the second and third and they were soaked with engine oil but the fourth was bone dry like the first.
I immediately thought that the head gasket had gone ,but when i thought about it ihave no poor running problem the oil and water aint mixing in the header tank nor in the engine.
so am thinking about checking the valve stem oil seals ,has any of you had this problem and do you know if they can be changed without removing heeeed...cheers

Do you meen the actual tips of the heaterplugs were coated in oil or the plug in general as often the cyclone breather leaks oil out where it joins the head all over no 2 injector/plug

i mean the actual plug was covered in oil

Was there much oil on the side of the cylinder head and around where the injectors go into the head?

not really ,have cleaned away what was there
