Ok went to Ikea in Southampton to get a cheap bed for my 2 yr old daughter, sale on and only a tenner so worth the aggro.

Anyway I never knew but my Landy decided to drop the oil outta what I think is the PTO or summat.

Pic of thingy with leak now plugged, copper/brass washer had split causing oil to leak out.



So the thingy in the pic is empty and what I need to know is where if at all I need to fill the oil back up and if so what type of oil.

Any Clues ??

yup that's the PTO unit and that's the filler nut that the washer split on.

Thanks for clearing that up, bit by bit I am learning the way of landy and even how to use the search function

Don't suppose you know what type of oil I fill it with ?


Edit -

A little more digging around and I found that it uses the same oil as the transfer box , so answered that question myself.


With this oil being dropped does it mean the transfer box is now empty ??
