. . . basically, won't go into 4th gear from 5th - works in all other sequences. To get it to go into 4th, I have to slip the fella into 3rd first . .

Now I can hear a clicking when coming out of 5th - which suggests the inhibitor (?!?!? is that what its called??!?) is operating, still not to say its maybe buggered . .

Anyone had similar problems?? if so, what did you do . . . .

Cheers all

Try moving your gearstick from 5th all the way to the left as if you want to go into first or second and then try going into 4th. It sounds like the locking mechanism to stop you going from 5th into reverse is at fault.

Thanks for that - gonna go give it a try shortly . . oh the joys of working from home!!!! lol . . . is it a big job?!?!

It's not meant to be as I think it is just in the linkage part at the top of the gearbox. Getting the spring to tension and centralise the gearstick after is the time consuming part. I have played with the gear selector housing on my previous 110 but never with the reverse lock.
