There seems to to be a lot of difference in the price of Di.s mine is a 95 300tdi es auto leather plastic wood dash ect, no rust on sills inner wings boot floor and chassis is good only rust was bottom of one B pillar and rear door wheel arch which has been repaired and has 168,000 on the clock. The thing is that for cars of similar condition vary so much from £800 to £2000 how do you value my car over the last 2 years its had a head gasket, P gasket, timing belt and tensioner kit auto box oil filter 4 new disc all calipers repair kit, pads track rod ends a few bushes, altenator, serviced twice a year. There's a few dents and bubbling of the paint in the aluminium area's but the cars 20 years old, I've seen N and P models with 185,000 200,000 wanting up to £2000.
My dilema is as mentioned in an earlier post I have a bad oil leak and think its the rear crank shaft seal and it will cost quite a lot to fix, if it is done I've decided to have the engine out as apposed to auto box. Now if my car is valued at £1200 to £1500 it may be worth doing but if its value is £600 to £700 I dont know. What to do.
