Hi all

Still having a problem with the brakes on my 90, work fine and then pedal travels further every 3 or 4 presses.
Seems like air still in system, have used a eazybleeder, but am now looking at a vacuum bleeder on ebay {271345055450},

Which is better ?, my mechanic says the vacuum, whats your thoughts.

There's always going to be air in the system,

Maybe the vacuum will eliminate more air then the 1 man system,

The vacuum can draw air in around the nipple.
The van guys at work just do it the old way.

Havent had a problem myself, I use a fluid extractor as I usually work alone. I don't think you need a lot of vacuum, just enough to suck out the fluid.
If you have an assistant the traditional tube and jar is probably as good, why not save the money?

Gunson eezi bleed. I've used one for years but at slightly higher pressure +/- 30psi and keep topping the reservoir up.

Maybe you should be checking your brake master seals, sounds like it is drawing air from somewhere as its getting worse

+1 for me, I use a jar and clear piece of tube also, but thats because it's easier to see when the bubbles stop.

Its a new master cylinder, changed it trying to solve problem

I had this problem on a disco and the pedal wouldn't firm up. We filled up the reservoir and put the cap on pretty tight.

Rather than a couple of pumps, get someone to pump the pedal hard 25-30 times, then on the last one hold it down and crack the nipple off. It's worth putting a piece of pipe on the end because the fluid will come out pretty quick after that...and it really does sting your eyes!

Apologies if I'm teaching you to suck eggs, but what order are you bleeding the wheels in?
