Got my freelander 2 tested came up with air mass flow sensor alarm. I've had it replaced with no improvement checked again and still shows same alarm any thoughts?
The guy cleared it and the alarm on his machine showed same thing. No warning shows on the dashboard just when driving the car seems to loose power briefly and restores again that's why I put in for testingDid you put a diagnostic reader on it to test what failed. As you need to clear error fault first.
I asked my mechanic he told me that the diagnosis was air mass flow sensor but no code and the year is 2007
Ok unfortunately I have a family funeral tomorrow so may not be able to do anything tomorrow but hopefully I'll get that code. My mechanic is retrial age and has to take the car to his mate. Thanks for the heads up I take it the code would narrow down the fault. There will be a code associated with the fault. It'll be something like PO103-02 for example, which would mean signal output for the MAF is outside the expected range.

Cheers every day a school dayNot a problem. There's always someone able to help out a fellow freelanderer.
The code is absolutely vital for pinpointing the issue. However not all code readers are able to display the full code, some just give the first 4 or 5 characters, but these just point to the item given the code. The last 2 characters in my example give the actual issue with item producing the code. There's a massive list of codes, all related to potential issues, it's just a case of getting the whole code, so the issue can be identified quickly.![]()
