can anyone identify it as a 300 and not a 200?

I say its a 300tdi. He's done summat weird wi the snorkel an tekken it out the other side. Theres a big gap where the air filter shud beeeeeeeeeeeeeee. An it looks like a serpentine belt to me.

seems like alot has been played with, even things like the intake hose has had to be cut for some reason???
