Hi All

I am considering installing a USB socket just behind gear stick as on photo, so far I haven't checked on clearance behind panel which may prevent fitting
Is it a good position or maybe there are better and where would I pick up a live connection?
Thanks

Also a twin usb could feed your satnav too. I have seem then mounted in the left hand mirror switch blank. Hole looks about right size. I used the blank on right of steering column for small voltmeter. Dunno what switch should go there, below mirror switch.

I didn't realise a sat nav would work off a USB port, I thought it had to be 12 volts

Dash cams and sat navs normally have mini or micro USB sockets to provide them with power. This makes them use a 5 Volt input to comply with the USB standard.

I've got a suitable cable so I'll give it go using the USB socket
