Hello

series 3 with a 200tdi, shes popping out of gear on the over run in 1st and 2nd never but fine when accelerating.
any ideas?
looking to sell her so need to get it sorted!
Cheers

Check detent springs (there are 3 behind retainers on the top of the box) and the back nut on the mainshaft IF you have an overdrive fitted,
BUT in all honesty probably more likely to be worn Syncros and box strip

Had the same problem. Turned out to be a combination of loose mainshaft nut and worn selector forks.
Mind after fixing the problem it now jumps out of second....

Hope its not that!
bit of history the people who had it previously put a recon box in it and it was jumping out ever since it was installed!

Sadly there are "recon" boxes and "recon" boxes ....
BUT i'd whip the rear cover off (where the overdrive would fit) and check the mainshaft nut is tight as a starting point ...then go from there ;)

When mine was jumping out of 1st and 2nd it was that the gears themselves were worn. 3rd and 4th was a totally different matter!
