Derbyshire county council seem to be working their way through downgrading the majority of green lanes in and around the peaks.

We are trying to stop them and need your support.

Please take a few moments of time to register your support to stop
the current attempted closure of Over Haddon ford.

Please follow the link and help.

We need 5000 signatures. We've achieved almost 1000 in 12 hours today.

Thank you all.

If anyone has got evidence of use on this lane dating back to the early 1990's please get in touch.

Already signed ;) However, even if 20k people signed it, wouldn't the council just close it anyway because they're hand in ass with the moneyed gentry?? Do govt. organisations get swayed by public opinion anymore?? :(

Seems that when an order is presented there is no legislation to withdraw it, so the council have to follow it through.

In this case it looks like it may have to go to public enquiry and user evidence offered showing vehicular use for the 20 odd years required.

So no not foul play by the council.

Signed it too!

I know a number of large landowners, they don't feel the council listen to them either ;)
Not sure if govt. organisations listen to anyone, unless the message is one they are hoping to hear.

Sorry folks, the actual petition has been closed because of a request from one of our partners. But the amount of signatures raised in such a short time show the level of support.

The only thing now that will make a difference is a written complaint, details of how to do so are on here https://www.facebook.com/groups/1444583119182863/
