my transfer lever on defender 90 wont engage h or l ratio unless i remove the centre seat and push the linkage an extra half an inch, when doing this it seems to engage without trouble and works perfectly can the linkage be adjusted or will it be an internal problem . any help or suggestions please

I had that in my 90 and fitted a cubby box - problem solved!

Sounds like you've got a load of slogger in the linkages take yer centre saet an bit of tin under it off, an yer transmission tunnel off an adjust everything, piece of **** It'll take longer putting the seat back in than it will to do the adjusting. Have a look in the manual link on here somewhere.
