Hi,
For the past few months I have a problem with accelerating and its becoming very hard when entering the highway. Mostly after 2nd gear when I push the gas, it takes about 20 seconds to accelerate and settle after 1 min until I reach the 5th gear about 100kmh and still I fill the car has no power like before. Please help!

Have you checked your turbo/hoses ?

Is the vehicle blowing any smoke when you put your foot down?
a few simple things like the air and fuel filters,
check the hoses from turbo to intercooler,
the hoses will delaminate inside, then collapse and restrict flow
you could try and clean the air temp sensor in the inlet manifold
set up a pressure guage to check boost

OK, I will try and look for problems in the hoses, anything in particular? is there something that usually happens to them like holes or disconnections?

OK, so I cleaned the air temp sensor and checked the hoses for damage, all is OK but the problem didn't go away. I tried to disconnect the MAF sensor and took a short drive and still the same problem. any other things I can do? this is driving me mad!!!:mad:

Does the TD5 have an EGR? If so it might be this which is all coked up, might need to blank it off to get your power back.

blank it off, meaning cleaning of removing? (sorry for my English)
I changed the fuel filter 2000km ago should it be the problem?
