I'm pretty sure that the bush at the top of of the rear damper on a defender (and probably any other vehicle for that matter) should be a tight fit with no play. While fettling the brakes on my 110 yesterday I found that there was about 3mm of play available. Attached are a couple of pics which hopefully show the gap between the metal ring of the damper and the bush inside. The truck only had its MoT 500 miles back. Anyway, is this play normal or does it need sorting? If it needs sorting does the panel consider replacement with regular LR bushes to be the right way to go or to consider new polybushes all round. The recorded mileage is 167,000.

So the damper would come with a bush already? I'd assumed that the two were separate purchases.
Thanks for your very prompt response.
