Could someone please remind me what the hell this piece is for on the front air bag I can’t remember I’ve I released some sort of clip

If you mean the bit under the bolt, then that goes thu the hole in the bottom of the airbag to hold it in place. Goes under the flat bracket

+1 when changing bags buy new ones for what they cost

+1 I've changed air bags with the pins so rusty instead of trying to get them out I got a pry bar under the bottom of the bag and just sheared them off.

I just thought, I'm not reusing the pins or the bags so what the he'll.

Fair point Alan, the top rear pins on Elliotts 38' broke in the airbag caps and I had to get some small molegrips on the remaining pin and oyk the buggers out. I think his was parked in a lake at some point!!! The rear cross member is rusted to hell

It bloody has... Every weekend so far...
Every weekend is land-rover weekend at our house

Reminds me of myself and my dad when I had my 2a at the age of twenty. Now it's 27yrs on with one of mine. I hope the last two kids get them as well
