Alright,

May be a bit of a strange question, is the prop on my 98 4.0 SE supposed to have a rubber coupling on it at the diff (or any) end?

Seen them for sale all over and sure mine dont have one...

Got a lot of vibrations so wondering if I should try one.

Only fitted to diesel autos from 1996. Plus it's a different prop shaft, you can't just stick a rubber coupling on the one you have.
