I've just bought a 95 P38 - picking her up next week. The radio lights up, but the display is blank and it seems dead. Can I plug in a non standard radio? I've got a decent Blaupunkt coming out of my Defender.

What radio is in it. Does it have steering wheel controls?

Yes, it does have steering wheel controls, but I'm not worried if they don't work with the Blaupunkt as long as the radio is compatible with the rest of the amp and speaker system.

Thanks. Do you know if there is a fitted CD changer in the car? - HSE spec.

If it has steering wheel radio controls it is an highline radio. If there is a CD changer fitted it will be left side of boot below sub woofer. http://www.clarion-service.co.uk/cs/Clarion_Radio_Repairs.html
