Cranking over but not starting. Local mech says it's in the imobiliser. His computer can't fix it. Need someone with right equipment (T4)to come out and fix it. Is there anybody out there. I live in barnsley.

why oh why

Hi davox,
I'm in Barnsley as well, & got a Rovacom-lite with the BECM module, this MIGHT find something' where in Barnsley are you?

Are you getting message engine immobilised and not turning over? If so definatly immobilised!
Or are you getting all ignition lights and turning over but not firing?
If its the latter its worth checking to see if youre getting fuel through, just unclip the pipe off the fuel filter and switch ignition on to check, use a rag as it comes out quite fast! You should also hear the pump running when you switch ignition on.
If you have no fuel check the engine ecu relay in the engine fuse box as well as fuel pump relay. I had a non starter as above and it was bad connections on engine ecu in fuse box that was the cause.
I am also told that ecu needs a good voltage or it won't work so charge your battery as well.
Good luck

try sprayin some carb cleaner or easy start in the air intake then starting
i have a simailar problem with mine still not fixed but does the same as yours
