Mt saga continues...... Having decided to put a new (remanufactured) head on th P38, no garage wants to touch it, Land Rover "specialists" send me to BMW "specialists" and they send me back! Only Landy specialist to give me the time of day was doom and gloom "it will never be the same".
SO, 1. does anyone know someone in my area they can recommend OR
2. Can anyone recommend a good diesel engine that can replace the M51?

do it urself its just nuts n bolts n gaskets n elbow grease n thinkin

It's a head.
It's a block.
It's a bunch of NEW bolts.
It's buy a decent gasket set.
It's get your big spanners out.
It's keep everything clean and take your time.
Buy a few beers and get a mate round to help with lifting it on nice and square and helpful comments like, "What's this pipe for?"
